Operating after suspension once again a criminal offense |

On August 7 Governor Patrick signed a supplemental budget which included a provison which changed the definition of civil offenses to exclude operating after suspension (1st offense) and operating without insurance.
This exclusion effectively makes these offenses criminal in nature: therefore officers may once again arrest for operators found operating after suspension, first offense.
Also the bicycle law changes were postponed until 2011.
Chiefs should have received an email from the Mass Chiefs with a PDF attachment from the Court.
